Hicks is beautiful. Plants are nice . Otto the ghist displays are great for kids. They are way over priced on their products. The staff at the fall activities are not very happy. No smiles, they just hand the children their sand art container or decorations for the pumpkins. The kids really dont notice but its obvious to the adults. They seem to gotten rid of their cafe that sold pues, coffee and hotchocolate, unless they moved it and i just didnt see it. Shame because the kids would have enjoyed it on cold wet day like today. The animal petting area was gone as well. They did have Otto walking around so that was nice.

It’s a large well maintained nursery with a great selection of indoor and outdoor plants, flowers pots, gardening tools, supplies, outdoor furniture, lights, mini fountains, garden figurines (cats and dragons were my favorite), decorations for all occasions, and what not. They have all kinds of creative themed displays: pets, kids, spring specials, Easter (current), 4th of July, Long Island, etc. They offer reward points with every purchase. I came in hoping to get some landscaping ideas for my kids’ backyard, but instead I got some ideas for my terrace renovation. I did not buy anything because the prices were quite high, but I enjoyed my visit very much.

Unbelievable!!! Flower and Garden show is amazing. This is the first time I visited the place and very surprised to see those beautiful flowers and how they arranged it. Parking and entrance to the show is free. You can see this beautiful show till 23rd March 2023. Don’t forget to visit the show to capture beautiful photos.

Love the ppl that work in the main part of the nursery but those guys in the trees and shrubs area outside are completely rude. Swearing they didn’t have pine trees and that what I was saying was incorrect. I found the pine trees in two minutes when I got outside. They have two varieties. If you’re lazy and don’t wanna do your job just say so. I’ll find someone that’s actually knowledgeable to help me instead of talking to someone who acts like they are an insufferable know it all. Seriously rude.

This place is amazing! I love the flower show/display in the spring and try to make it every year. This year was not as extravagant as previous year but they may be struggling to find employees as most other businesses. The staff I did ask for help, were super nice and gave me great tips on taking care of my plants. A bit pricey but good quality that u can't find at home depot

I drove in from far out of state and was the first customer for the day. I was very tired. Luckily, I received helped from Mike, Rob, Jessica, and Maggie. I have to give big praise to Maggie for leading the effort in satisfying my order. She went above and beyond to correct a mishap that occurred when I ordered planters over the phone. Without Maggie’s leadership on the day of my visit, I would have driven hours in vain. Maggie, with the assistance of the other names mentioned, made me a very happy customer and I am happy to return someday and to recommend Hicks to others! 5/5 stars!
